TEACHERS ARE ESSENTIAL WORKERS
SIGN THE PETITION TO VACCINATION TEXAS TEACHERS
Teachers are essential workers! They must be vaccinated as soon as possible. I sent letters to Gov. Abbott, John Hellerstedt, MD, Commissioner of the Texas Dept. of State Health Services, and to the Texas COVID-19 Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel to ask for Classroom Teachers to be added to the 1B phase of the Vaccine Distribution Plan. Join me in calling attention to this issue that is critical to our Texas public schools.
MEET ANAEL
A Fort Worth native, Anael Luebanos knows what it means to work hard, get a good education and eventually build a family. At the age of sixteen, Anael worked to help financially support his family and he graduated with honors from Paschal High School. Always looking for ways to give back, Anael became an accountant for a nonprofit serving Fort Worth’s blind community after earning an MBA from Texas Wesleyan University.
Anael was elected in 2017 to the FWISD School Board. He worked responsibly to safeguard our tax dollars, oppose tax increases, and ensure that our Dist. 8 schools received their fair share of the Bond Program after years of not receiving adequate funding. He strongly opposed misguided efforts to remove School Resource Police Officers from our campuses. Anael will always fight for our kids, and keeping them safe is top priority.
A proud alumnus of Paschal High School, Anael and his wife, Anahi – a TCU graduate and public school educator – are strong supporters of our public schools. Their son, Rafael (7) attends school in the FWISD. They welcomed their daughter, Ana, in September.
